Nimtto is an animated wedding invitation, event website and RSVP system behind one link, made for Nepali families at home and abroad. I designed and built the whole product, from the 3D scenes and studio dashboard to payments and SEO, and launched it at nimtto.com in October 2026.
52 designs: 39 for Nepali weddings and 13 international
Bikram Sambat and AD dates, in English or नेपाली
Plans from Rs 2,999, paid once, with no monthly fee
Nepali weddings run across several days and several venues: mehendi, haldi, janti, the wedding itself and the reception. Families still send printed cards and then answer the same questions on WhatsApp for weeks. Relatives abroad read dates in AD, elders read them in Bikram Sambat, and nobody knows how many people are coming to which meal.
Online invitation products existed, but they were built for Western weddings. They had no Bikram Sambat dates, no Devanagari, no idea of a janti, and they priced in dollars with monthly fees.
A paper card cannot show the way on Google Maps, count guests or switch to Nepali for the grandparents. Nimtto does all three from one link that opens on any phone, with no app to install.
I saw a real problem in the Nepali market: online wedding invitations were made for Western weddings, not for ours. Ujjwal Rupakheti helped me bring my idea to reality. He built Nimtto with Nepali and English, Bikram Sambat dates and RSVPs for every ceremony, exactly the way I imagined it.
What I Built: An Invitation, Event Website and RSVP in One Link
A family picks one of 52 designs, fills in names, ceremonies and venues, and shares the link on WhatsApp, Viber or SMS. Guests open it on a slow mobile connection and see an opening scene, then every ceremony with its own time, place and map, in English or नेपाली with one tap.
I built the whole product: the theme engine and 3D scenes, the multi-page marketing site, the studio dashboard where invitations are made and tracked, the ordering and payment flow, and the server that stores RSVPs and serves share links. It is the same end-to-end work I do in SaaS development for clients.
Three of the 52 opening scenes: Durbar, Dhoka and Mandap, shown with sample names.

04Architecture
Nimtto Architecture and Tech Stack
The front end is a Vite multi-page build: every folder with an index.html becomes a page, so marketing pages, design pages and invitation themes all ship as static, pre-compressed files that load fast on Nepali mobile networks.

The Nimtto Tech Stack
The server is a single Node and Express process with SQLite in WAL mode. That keeps hosting cheap and backups simple. The studio autosaves drafts every 0.7 seconds with optimistic versioning, and keeps drafts separate from the published snapshot that guests see.
Each theme follows a written contract: transform and opacity animation only, a reduced-motion version, and a fallback when WebGL is not available.

05Engineering
Engineering Decisions Behind Nimtto
The four decisions that shaped Nimtto, and why I made them. Each one solves a problem a real user would hit.
01
3D Scenes That Still Open on a Cheap Phone
Durbar is a morning walk through Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Mandap is a night mandap built entirely in code, where two rigged figures act out janti, swayambar, the seven rounds and sindoor as the guest scrolls. Other scenes draw real photographs as depth-displaced meshes, so the camera moves into the photo with true parallax. Every 3D design has a still fallback, honours reduced-motion settings and keeps Devanagari free of letter-spacing.
02
Dates the Way a Nepali Family Reads Them
Each ceremony shows its Bikram Sambat date beside the AD date, counted on the venue’s calendar day and time zone. A family can override the BS date to match their priest’s patro, because the printed calendar the family trusts wins over any algorithm. Pustau takes the same care with Nepali dates.
03
RSVP Data a Family Can Actually Use
Guests answer per ceremony, and the family sees totals per event and per meal. The CSV export escapes spreadsheet formulas, so a guest who types a formula into a name field cannot run it in the family’s Excel.
04
Safe Edits After the Cards are Out
Once an invitation is published, names can be corrected up to three times and the date moved by up to 60 days. That stops a bought invitation from being reused for a different wedding, while still allowing the fixes real families need.
Built for Search and AI Answers
Every design and ceremony has its own page, following the same technical SEO checklist I use for clients, plus open access for AI search.
Five sitemaps: Nepal pages, international pages, designs, blog and images
An indexable page per design, with Product, Offer and breadcrumb data
FAQ and HowTo markup on landing pages such as Nepali wedding card online
hreflang between the Nepal and international audiences
GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot allowed, plus an llms.txt file
The studio and payment pages blocked from crawling

Where Nimtto Stands Today
Nimtto is live at nimtto.com and taking orders in Nepal and abroad. The source code is public on GitHub.
Live and taking orders
It shows the full range of what I do in one place: real-time 3D on the web, a multi-language content system, a dashboard families use without training, and an SEO structure that gives every design and ceremony its own page.
Nimtto is an online wedding invitation service for Nepal. One link holds an animated invitation, an event website with every ceremony, venue and map, and an RSVP form. Families pick one of 52 designs, add their details and share the link on WhatsApp, Viber or SMS, and guests read it in English or Nepali.
How Much Does a Nimtto Wedding Invitation Cost?
Plans start from Rs 2,999 in Nepal and USD 49 abroad, paid once with no monthly fee. Families in Nepal pay with Khalti, eSewa or Fonepay QR, and families abroad pay by PayPal or card. The invitation stays online for at least a year after the event.
Does Nimtto Show Bikram Sambat Dates?
Yes. Every ceremony shows its Bikram Sambat date beside the AD date, counted on the venue’s calendar day and time zone. A family can also override the BS date to match their priest’s patro, because the printed calendar a family trusts should win over any algorithm.
Can Guests RSVP for Each Ceremony Separately?
Yes. Guests answer per ceremony, such as mehendi, janti, the wedding and the reception, and the family sees totals per event and per meal. Replies download as a CSV file that escapes spreadsheet formulas, so the guest list is safe to open in Excel.
Which Technologies is Nimtto Built With?
Nimtto’s front end is a Vite multi-page build, with Three.js for the 3D scenes and GSAP for animation. The server is Node 22 with Express 5, and data lives in SQLite in WAL mode with daily backups. It runs in Docker on a VPS behind Cloudflare.
Can You Build a Wedding or Event Platform Like Nimtto?
Yes. I build SaaS products and web apps like Nimtto for clients in Nepal and abroad, from the design to payments and SEO. A focused first version of a SaaS product starts from NPR 70,000 and takes 6 to 12 weeks. See my SaaS development page for details.
