14Case study · Hotel website & local SEO
Hotel Aarohi is a hotel in Chandrapur, Rautahat, with rooms from NPR 2,500, a Thakali restaurant and halls for events. Between March and May 2026 I designed and built its website, room catalogue, booking enquiries and local SEO pages, plus a full-stack management prototype. The site is live.
01The problem
A hotel in a smaller town gets most of its guests from a phone search: “hotel in Chandrapur”.
Hotel Aarohi in Chandrapur, Rautahat had rooms from NPR 2,500, a Thakali restaurant and halls for events, but no website that showed any of it clearly or appeared in local search.
It needed a fast site that answers that search, shows its rooms and makes booking one tap away.
02The solution
I designed and built a static marketing site with pages for rooms, the restaurant, the gallery and a blog. Guests can filter rooms by category and send a booking enquiry from a modal on any page, and the phone number for bookings is always visible.
Alongside the public site I built a full-stack management prototype in React, Express and Prisma: a dashboard for rooms and their status, bookings, customers, gallery and notifications. It is the kind of website development most local businesses in Nepal need.

03Features
A public site that answers the guest’s search and makes booking easy, and a prototype for the staff who manage rooms.

04Architecture
The public website is plain static HTML, which keeps it fast on rural mobile connections and free to host. Booking enquiries go through Formspree, so the hotel receives them by email without a server to maintain.
The management prototype is a separate React and Express application with seven data models: users, hotels, rooms, bookings, gallery items, customers and notifications.
05Engineering
The two decisions that shaped Hotel Aarohi, and why I made them. Each one solves a problem a real user would hit.
01
Most guests search for a hotel in the town they are travelling to. The site has a page for that search, a page for the restaurant’s Thakali food and a page about things to do nearby, each with its own title, description and structured data. That is local SEO done in the build, not after it.
02
Static pages with no framework to download mean the site appears quickly on slow connections, and there is nothing to patch or pay for each month. For a hotel whose pages rarely change, that is cheaper and faster than a CMS. An SEO audit checks exactly this on sites that already exist.
Every page is written and marked up for the searches guests make, the same groundwork I set up alongside a Google Business Profile.
06Screens
Most guests find a hotel on their phone, often on mobile data, so the site was designed for that first.

07Status
The Hotel Aarohi website is live at hotelaarohi.ujjwalrupakheti.com.np. The management prototype’s source is on GitHub.
Live
It is the kind of project most local businesses in Nepal need: a fast site, clear rooms and prices, easy booking and pages built for local search.

What the project included, what a hotel website costs and how it helps local search.
Ask me on WhatsAppIt included the design and build of a static website with pages for rooms, the restaurant, the gallery and a blog, a room catalogue with filters, booking enquiries from any page, local SEO landing pages with structured data, and a separate full-stack management prototype for rooms, bookings and customers.
A static hotel website like this starts from NPR 18,000 and takes 1 to 2 weeks. A larger site with a CMS you edit yourself starts from NPR 35,000. Domain and hosting are extra, though a static site like Hotel Aarohi’s can be hosted free on GitHub Pages.
Guests filter rooms by Standard, Deluxe, Luxury and Suite and send a booking enquiry from a modal on any page. Enquiries go through Formspree and reach the hotel by email, and the phone number for bookings is always visible for guests who prefer to call.
The site has landing pages for the searches guests make: the best hotel in Chandrapur, Thakali food in Chandrapur and things to do in Chandrapur. Each has its own title, description and structured data, and the whole site carries Hotel, opening hours, FAQ and breadcrumb markup.
A static site with no framework to download appears quickly on slow rural connections, costs nothing to host on GitHub Pages and has nothing to patch each month. For a hotel that rarely changes its pages, that is cheaper. If you already run WordPress, read my WordPress SEO guide.
